I remembered the awesome advise I was given me the other day, do something to make me feel better. I have taken that advice and ran with it. Thanks to Pintrest, I have been inspired to paint my nails in magenta and green and create a piece of needlework. And you know what? The craftiness has made me feel better.

I am ridiculously happy. My calf length boots came in the mail today! I tried them on and they fit! I was soooooooooooooooo sad that my other pair is giving up the ghost, but now I have not one but TWO pairs to replace it. The only problem I have now is what I am going to wear them with because I don't like skirts.

Some of you may or may not know, I love watching home improvement shows. One of favorite designers is David Bromstad on Color Splash. In the following link we learn that he is a Star Wars nerd. I have not squeed as much as I have watching this episode EVAR!

I love when a plan comes together - and Nu's birthday bash was epic. I think I was a little anxious if I could pull off some stuff I promised but things came through.

As apart of the decorating committee, I think we had a lot of fun. Karen came more prepared than me. I have been humbled....ish.

On THE day, decorating the space was fun! "We" got to play with a car mechanic grade air compressor. Oh yea. I was a little worried that buddy from work forgot about me asking but he totally pulled through. I have to get him a nice thank you for letting us use it. I enjoyed putting the balloons together.

When it came to getting ready, I decided to wear a skirt. I am proud to report that 1) no one got hurt by my hand and 2) I waited until the LAST hour before getting into the jeans.

My favorite highlights of the evening: K1ttycat changed dresses two times - one of which was mine.

Figuring out how to make gin ice cubes. What? It was for science.

Wigglesworth has out prepared me (aka out Mary Poppin's bag me)and I am truly humbled. The dude cares a router with him! A ROUTER!

The bacon wrapped mini hotdogs. Zomg.

I danced without booze in my system. Shocking.

I got the last connoli! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Ha.

Their is probably more, but Wigglesworth out prepared me!!!! Seriously.

Uncle John called me to ask if I was going to Thanksgiving. I told him I don't know, I hadn't been feeling well as of late. So he tells me that he would go over to support me with the old man and he is not going over if I am not going over.

SO things I am Thankful for. I am thankful for my supportive friends, you guys makes things awesome. I am thankful for making a better relationship with Esod 2. My kittehs who are made of seven types of evil but still fill my heart with happy even when they are evil. Music - awesome cello and Blink 182 who take me out of my brain space and brings me back to the happy. Hulu.com - thank you for letting me get my fangirl squeee on and letting me not be chained to the tv schedule anymore.

Aww the "vacation" is over. Power has been restored at work so I get to go back. "Yea." Now I gots to try to fall asleep.

The last week has been trying. Newington has been without power since the storm hit. I have not been to work and there is a graduation ceremony coming up that I need to make diplomas for. So there has been no power or phone and things were down right weird. Lines for a mile to get gas, restaurants only accepting cash, no traffic lights meant people having to yield the right of way and no one knew wtf to do.

Anyways, thorgodoft took pity on me and let me crash at his place last night. We had an excellent dinner at Nancy Chang's and was really impressed with the deliciousness.

I came home, and power had been restored to a good bit of Newington. Only our house is the only one without power because the cable on the house fell down and we need to have an electrician put it back up. But the "best" part was walking into the house and being asked to "better lock the front door" and the following explanation from the hobo. Ann is a little bit frightened cuz her friend was raped by my friend and I was the one was to turn him in and she is afraid he is going to come here and do something. *thud*

Get out of work and decide to go to Target to pay my bill and get some things to donate to the troops. On the way to Target, the Barum and Baily Circus train cars were on the West Hartford train overpass. Weird. Go to Target and get supplies. Decide I want to try the McRib. Saw mouse running in an out of the road. I was a little freaked out. Try McRib and I am not a convert to the McRib cult following. Watched the pilot for Once Upon a Time and it has potential.

I finally downloaded the update for my window's phone. The update included personalized ringtones!! I have the imperial march on my phone again!!! It was my happy for the day. Then I went on a ringtone finding spree. I found a ringtone from castle that is awesome, power rangers themes, and a parody to the song "like a G6" that was called "like a horcrux."

I finally know what character Damon from the Vampire Diaries reminds me of - John Crichton from Farscape with FAR LESS impulse control.

Weird type of day. Mood at work is weird. One of the reps, brought in an honest to god Jack-o-lantern for their office. It was really neat.

On New Britain Ave in Elmwood, I noticed while driving a sign an insurance company made expressing their condolences for Steve Jobs. On the one hand I am all for financial planning but dude really, really?

I talked with Esod 2, I totally suggested that my sister have Sailor Moon theme for table names. I am only half kidding.

My phone is possessed. While on the same phone call with Esod, my phone decided to dial my voice mail and make me try to listen to my messages. Nice try phone. Those messages have my g-pa thinking that I can hear him like an answering machine and I don't want to deal with that and you cannot make me! Ha!
